To upload and download pics with Verizon service, first download the Exego software from your "get it now" application list. Then, follow the instructions-- you will need to access www.exego.bluefuel.com with your pc. For six bucks a month you can store 5 megs of pics and files and access them through your cell phone. You can also save any pic as wallpaper. I have tried this and it does work!!!!
whats the exact method of saving the picture as a wallpaper? when i tried it earlier this week the only thing you could do is save a picture as a "wallpaper" that only existed while in the Exego application. once you exited the application on the phone you went back to the normal background
What software version do you have? I just d/led the trial of Exego, and it will NOT allow me to save a pic to my phone. I have .17c. More details, please!!!
i just redownloaded it as well (I have 19c) and it would not allow me to save as wallpaper.. The only thing thats close is that it will allow me to set an image as a background image for the exego main menu.. so its only on the background when using exego.
you have to have 19d in order for that to work correctly The save function doesn't work in any previous versions
you can also get pics from the motorola web site. they cost tho. you need to have your wireless web working in order to get them. they have ringtones games and software available too
The Motorola site is only for the GSM versions of the T720. I have not been able to save a pic as a background either. My version is 19c, not 19d, but I keep seeing everywhere that 19d is dealer flash and 19c is "original equipment" with no differences between them.
Pictavision is also on the Verizon website. What is the difference between Pictavision and Exego ? Pictavision is only $3.99 a month.
This is what I heard also. I guess, as always, there are no gaurantees either way until the new phone/s/w version is in our hands.
19c and 19d are exactly the same. the only difference like stated above is 19d is flashed by your dealer. being a computer engineer i have friends who work fr motorla. they tell me the scoop is the 720 came out 3 months in advance just to satisfy verizon and cash in on the color screen fad. it was originally slated for an xmas release. thats why its so buggy and several key features like saving wallpaper are not yet fully implemented. if you wait until the end of nov most problems will be worked out and the data kit will be available. also software version 20 which is actually 2.0 was supposed to be the intial version for the consumer release in dec. if you look at the GSM versions most fo them are version 20 and above and work fine. a good gauge is nobody with a GSM 720 is complaining. they can go directly to the hellomoto web site and download away!!!
That's good news. I truly hope you're correct. But, if you look at the moderator's comments on matrixm.com, they say they think that Verizon is blocking the downloads, not that the phone's software is the problem. Can your friend comment on that point? With later software releases, will Verizon still be sitting in as a middleman trying to charge us for each download? (ie. forcing us to use Get It Now instead of the direct web downloads)
