Yes, indeed iPhone uses Corning glass

    Apple posted a news story today about how it created over 500,000 US jobs:

    The interesting part is about Corning ( the maker of Gorilla Glass):

    Quote:

    "For example, this figure also includes workers in Texas who manufacture processors for iOS products, Corning employees in Kentucky and New York who create the majority of the glass for iPhone"

    As mentioned in the WA thread above, Steve Jobs was responsible for the beginning use of Corning Gorilla Glass in the mobile industry with the very 1st iPhone. And today's iPhones still use Corning Glass.
