I'm glad to see we can access Yahoo again. Many thanks to Tony E for the new IP address.

Now to my question: In the past I was able to access my Yahoo e-mail account via Yahoo WAP. Last night and again this AM I discover that I cannot log-in to Yahoo. When I attempt to log-in, I am taken back to the Yahoo guest/log-in screen. Has anyone run into this problem? If so, is there a way to get logged-in via WAP?

Thank for any help you can provide.

No, it didn't work. I can sign in to Yahoo and view my inbox. However, when I attempt to read a particular e-mail, I end up back at the guest/log-in screen. I made 4 attempts with the same result. I accessed Yahoo mail via my phone in the past so I'm certain that this is not a case of user error.

Tony, can you actually read a selected email?

Is it possible that there is some profile setting on Yahoo that prohibits my accessing email from my cell phone? I don't recall having to adjust any settings in the past, though the Yahoo WAP sign in process is slightly different.

Homepage: Wildrice, which I can access just fine. In fact, I can access Yahoo fine. I can even sign-in and see the subject of my e-mails. However, When I attempt to read the e-mail, I'm kicked back to the hi (guest) log-in screen.

no, it's not you, Yahoo, tends to get blocked that way, it has it's day where everything works fine with a particuliar phone and then it goes down, let me activate my 4400 and set it for wap and i'll let you know what happens, give me time though, i'm at work,

I'm having the same problem as oppie -- I can logon to Yahoo and see the messages in my inbox, but when I select one, I get kicked back to the Yahoo homepage as 'guest'.

Tried disabling display of html in my yahoo acct preferences, but no change to the result.

Does anyone have a fix for this one???

    any help much appreciated

Hi Producer. Misery loves company! There must be some setting that's goofing us up. I have made multiple attempts and this is not an intermitent problem. Since getting this new IP I have never been able to view an e-mail. Paying the 3.99 per month isn't looking too bad right now.

i got some info today that those with the LG6K that have version 5 are having this problem, more than with phones that have version 6 , same goes for the 4400, but even with version 10 i see users are having this problem, as soon as i have something i will post it, or if anyone else would like to shed some light on this please let us know.

Tony, you the man! You have my $3.99 per month in the palm of your hand. This could be the difference between a mass-produced domestic beer and a Deschuttes Black Butte Ale!

BTW you guys say that you are using wildrice correct, have you guys tried to set your homepage to http://tagtag.com/stash and sign up for an account? (via your pc) set up a page with some wap pages like wap.movietickets.com., then go back to your phone and set it on proxy 2, access yahoo through your account from tagtag and see if it works.
here is the tagtag's page so you can set up an account.> tagtag

Thx Tony, I'll give it a try

    A couple questions

1 -- How do I select proxy 2 to be the active one?

2 -- Is there a way to clear out the text from the phone after surfing? It seems to keep all the pages unless I 'back up' over them before I quit. I tried 'erase cache' but that clears everything including my homepage setting and reboots the phone.

    3 -- well, that's enough

    thanks again

Load up the browser. Hold down 0 then hit 6 then 3 then move the arrow next to WAP Proxy 2 and select OK.

I would also like to know the answer to question #2.

Tony E - I created a WAP page last night and accessed Yahoo! through that link. I had the very same result in attempting to open my e-mail. Maybe I have some preference set at Yahoo that's blocking my attempts, I don't know. As an aside, I had no idea Tagtag was that simple.

Tony, I think you're probably correct. I'm going to go to Rogers Binns site and (re) set it up step by step. I'll post my result later.

Oppie just in case take a look at this site for wap settings. wap settings.

it's for the 6k, but the 4400 has basically the same set up.

I'm at a loss... I have checked and doubled checked but the result is the same. The only variable is my phone. I had a 4400 with version 4 March. I got a new 4400 with version 6 last fall. I'll keep checking the posts for a possuble solution.
