"In addition, down the line, the carrier may need to keep an eye on the strength of pre-paid services. It hasn't traditionally been affected by the draw of cheaper plans, but eventually it'll be hard to ignore the strength of regional players such as MetroPCS Communications Inc. (PCS). "

    excellent point.

    Re: Article Verizon Vs ATT

Well the results are out and it looks like VZ did beat T on most metrics. However, the impact of the Alltel buy kind of clouds the results.

FIOS kills U-Verse anyway you look at it...

Also, take away the iPhone and T is toast....

First qtr results were amzing for the 2 companies. I still would like to see the next qtr to see how many are lost. I don't think peole that lost their job would keep their cell service over their home.In my opnion the economic hit still has not happened to either.

I would be willing to bet they will keep their cell over their land-line. They need to be in touch if they want to field job offers....

I'm wondering if Sprint's going to post another sizable loss, what with Verizon and AT&T posting such good subscriber numbers in spite of the lousy economy.

I also wonder if the net adds for VZ and T came at Sprint's expense again?

Based on what I read, Both at&t and VZW bennefited from customers walking away from Sprint and could very well mean tha Sprint would again show losses in Subscribers for this Qtr.

Sprint refuses to realize there are sitting on a gold mine, if they just change there business practices, copy Verizon at every step. They would be making more money, but they just sit, what does Sprint do thats different ?
