Is there any way to get the v3c to to play wma's? Cause I'd like to get a few good songs on my razr but the only way to do that is to either accept crapy quality mp3's or some ok quality wma's.

From what I understand, when you sync up with WMP10 it transfers/converts files in wma format.

You won't be able to use them as ringtones though.

Brokk, he is using an Alltel v3c. It isnt setup to sync with WMP10, only thr V3M b/c it has more multimedia functions.

J, you can use a program like MPT to add them to the audio folder in wma format. I believe the v3c will play that format, but I am not 100% sure on that. What programs have u been using to add ringtones, or pics? etc

I've been using WMA Workshop to convert the songs to wma for my girls phone... but her phone only uses mp3 for ring tones and I have to use MPT to copy those over to the stock hd on the phone, not the sd... on my phone it wont work with wma. I've copied them over with mpt and it gives me an error saying its the wrong kind of format.

Is there any way to delete the original ring tones? cause That should clear up about 8mb of space... when the phone is blank, it says there is 8mb used.

    Yea, u can. Use p2kcommander.

    1) Set your ring style to silent so that NONE of your ringers are being "used" by the phone

    2) Load up P2Kcommander. Delete the ones u dont want. (dont delete anything ending in ".mp_")

    3) Delete the MyToneDB.db file fro mthe root of the phone (it deletes the master database...dont worry, it comes back)

    4) Restart the phone. (this will re-index all the ringtones making all the ones u deleted be gone...now the DB file is back)

    5) You will need to reset your ring style preferences (by deleting that file, the ringtones u had set for certain profiles have been reset)

    Thats it, you are done.

Okay, you treat this JUST LIKE P2Kseem. By this, I mean you need to have MSU running first before opening P2Kcommander.

Let me know if you havent used MSU yet either. That is also available on that site if you need it.

It's Motorolla Software Updater. It's basically used to put the phone into the proper mode to accept seem edits and such. It can be found on the hacktherazr download link that cincyball posted above. You must be running MSU first before you do any seem editing via P2Kseem or P2Kcommander.
