Both of my new ATTWS phones should be here Tuesday. Let's hope their service works okay. LOL
You may need a bit of Lady Luck and God on your side.
You don't need any luck i'm sure you'll be highly satisfied. Welcome to the family LOL
This is funny. I am pretty sure everyone knows how I defend VZW up, down and sideways. I am still one of their biggest fans. They have proven themselves more than once to me in regards to network, CS, etc. The reason why I am making a switch is because right now I need more for my money that I'm paying now (i.e. minutes) and I'm sorry to say that VZW just can't do that.
Just admit it...Verizon sucks JK
HAHA, I don't think I ever could, not unless something drastically bad happens.
I might be doing the same thing, going with Att or Cingular or T-Mobile (need to see which will perform the best here in LA) and dropping VZW...
I think you will be happy with them, which phone(s) did you get? And i do agree for the money Verizon just doesn't give the amt. of mins most people need. Good luck & let us know how you make out.
Well since I was limited on funds at the time, I chose both phones to be the Free Nokia 6010. But I plan to take mine back in a couple days and get the Nokia 3120. I figure to keep it cheap for now and see how things go.
Another thing to is that, with VZW, I was paying over $80 to share 500 daytime minutes along with UM2M, UN&W, etc. I just didn't like the idea of seeing "$80+$ and "500 daytime minutes". With AT&T, I get 900 daytime minutes, Unlimited M2M for my line and Unlimited Night and Weekends starting at 7pm, FOR THE SAME PRICE. So that was the main reason why I went with AT&T.
...and don't forget no more CDMA slot cycles to deal with
Nokias are great! :browani:
Is this turning into an "I'm leaving Verizon because it's too expensive" thread? I'm just playing. I have to admit, them and Sprint are the most expensive i've seen. They're both in the top 5, are CDMA, and are the most expensive.
but rather AT&T's network busy messages LOL
They both turn inexpensive when you can make good use of their M2M minutes... I use over 1500 "IN" minutes a month...I would pay $$$$$ if I went with any other carrier.
Larry, have your true feelings about Verizon come through once again??? LOL
Good luck, my friend, let us know how it goes.
I have never gotten that message, & hope after the merger i don't get that message either.
Those M2M minutes are nothing to me. In my family 5 have AT&T, 1 T-Mobile, 1 Nextel, 4 Sprint, and 2 ALLTEL. LOL, it doesn't work out. My friends have Sprint, ALLTEL, T-Mobile, and Cingular. M2M really doesn't mean anything to me. I need more anytime minutes than unlim. M2M.
True, GSM/TDMA systems are more prone to network busy's/blocked calls so no technology is perfect.
True...not technology is perfect ; I for example had lots of blocked calls and calls go straight to Voicemail when I had GSM, in the last year with CDMA, I've had two calls go straight to Voicemail and no blocked calls at all.
Well, here's the difference. All of my friends and family members I talk to that have a cellphone have Verizon now... so without "IN" I'd be screwed...If you, for example, mostly call landlines, etc. then a plan with the most minutes for the $$$, like T-Mobile or AT&T would be better, no question asked, as long as coverage is good.
Well, I got my ATTWS phones today. So far so good. Everything seems to be fine and have not been having any problems.
glad to hear it. good luck and i hope it works out for you.
Have to agree. I find them a lot more user friendly than a Motorola. Like my Siemens but I admit I am hooked on Nokia.
Have fun with your new phones
SB, I hope it continues to work out. I was also pleasantly surprised with ATT in Delaware. Darn good coverage and cingular roaming. I think you'll find CDMA sounds better in low signal though. I wish I lived in CA, for many reasons cough weather lol, but almost any carrier works well there, just pick the cheapest!
So far so good still. I was out and about yesterday on the west side and east side (of Puget Sound). My phone had full strength just about everywhere, I was surprised. It looks like they may have turned up towers around here or something. Although, I really wish ATTW CSRs would go through some more training, LOL. I have already run into morons working as CSRs. Most of them have been good though. Right now I am giving ATTW the benefit of the doubt as far as the CSRs go before I decide it's time to put my usual hat on while dealing with CSRs.
