I'm thinking about investing to a wireless network. I want to share my broadband connection with my dad's computer upstairs. Also i want to connect my playstion 2 to the network using a ethernet cable. I wanted to know if this is possible without using an access point or if i even have to get one. I know there are Wireless ethernet bridges out, but they cost more than some routers. At least $86 to $120. I don't want to pay that amout for just one connection. Any ideas or suggestions?
Well, I have a netowrk at home, and unless you want to be drilling holes in your celing, or driving humongous cables across the floor, wireless is pretty much the only way to go. The best part about it is that any computer within about 1 1/2- 2 acres is able to get a clear signal with a wireless card. If you don't want to use a wireless access point, get ready to do some serious work that you will seriously regret in the future.
