I have a Blackberry Curve 8320 service provided by T-mobile. I use a Linksys wireless 350N router for my home network. The issue is: my phone auto connects to the wireless home network but then frequently disengages at will. If I am on a call using the home network and it switches over to the t-mobile network, I drop the call. I have checked my firewalls and everything seems to be in order. any advice?

Maybe the signal that you have is too weak. How many bars do you have in your house?

I would consult tmobile and make sure your Blackberry is configured correctly for this usage. Sounds like it defaults to a GSM signal over the Wifi when it picks it up. There might be something in the actual phone settings to prevent this

Yes, first make sure you have a good wireless signal from the router. Also, have you changed your mobile network settings on your Blackberry? Go to Options>Mobile Network and be sure that "Connection Preference" is set to "Wi-Fi Preferred" or "Wi-Fi only" (while you are at home). I know this definitely helped in my case!
