I am disappointed with these two points. Sounds like I may be sitting out the first version of Win Mobile 7 until it gets straightened out.

Isn't Flash support really Adobe's issue? They can't seem to get something out for any phone. Presumably by "no activesync", they are referring to the desktop sync tool and not Exchange Activesync.

What's really disappointing is that they seem to be following Apple's model as opposed to the Windows model.

That's what bothers me. If I wanted a darn iPhone, I'd buy one. Don't ruin Windows.

How is this better than existing smart phones? It seems like they're just playing "me too." Unless it is better than the description implies. It just seems too little too late. I do not see anything here that would convince manufacturers to come back to winmobile.

Reason number 3 for me to not go back to WM.

Just in case anyone is curious, the first two reasons are Blackberry and Android. :D

Andriod is the only one I am remotely interested, and if Win Mobile 7 becomes an iPhone "me too" clone I will probably switch over to Android.

I will wait till I have WM7 in my hand til I judge it. If it doesn't fit my needs/wants, I will move exclusively to Android. :D

Give it a few days and some hacker will come up with a way to get around the Windows Marketplace to install apps.
