My phone just took a dive in the toilet (literally) and I have an older phone. I wondered if Verizon would activate my older phone.
Or do I just need an activation code to use the older one on my account?
Thanks for any help out there.

As long as the phone has e911 capabilities and is neither tied to a delinquent account nor reported stolen, you should be fine.

    Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry Pearl 8130: Opera/9.50 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/4.1.11320/308; U; en))

And, you can activate it yourself if you have your account set up on verizonwireless.com.

You can forget it. That esn, if the original account is suspended for stolen, u cant activate it, If the account the esn was on is suspended, disconnected for suspended for nonpay, fraud, anything like that the esn is forever on a database and it will not be able to activated. Sure you can take it to the store and activate a new service with it, (heck for commissiion i would let you try to activate it. But when it goes thru the system, guess what...it will not actiate... so no you cant activate it..
