and have hotdogs at Pinks on Melrose after the game!!! you know I can actually see Dodger stadium from my office window heh just how many of us are in LA & OC area??
Lol I'll just steal the WA logo and send it down to Paramount Ind. in Mass. and make some of my own!!! Lol jk I wouldnt do that [or will I? mauahaha!]
LOL, no I didn't wear my WA Shirt to the interview. The guy that interviewed me was familar with the site though so maybe I should have after all. Even though I didn't get the job I must say I did enjoy interviewing with him. He was very friendly and I think the only person that has ever interviewed me that made me feel comfortable. Oh well on to other things
No way. F Pinks. We need to have a WA meetup at Scoe's. (That's Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles for those of you who aren't lucky enough to be able to get fluffy, fluffy waffles, crunchy fried chicken, and grits on the same plate.) There's quite a few people from LA and OC around. And I can see Dodger Stadium from my office window too, but I'm up on the hill in Glendale so that's kinda cheating... and it's foggy/smoggy today anyway.
what's wrong with a Dodger dog?...lol ever tried Cupid's Hot Dogs? Pinks, sounds good, just don't have too many of them, they'll kill you....
Tony, I agree with you. Dodger dogs are the best! I was at a game there two weeks ago and had 3 of them! Of course buying food & drinks at the stadium will quickly empty your wallet.
Dodger dogs are special. You can buy them in packages in the market but then you have to boil them and grill them and put them on a soggy bun and leave it under a heatlamp for an hour and THEN it MIGHT taste like a Dodger dog. And $3.25 for a damn hot dog?!
Yeah, try coming to Yankee Stadium. $4.50 to $6.00 (they have 3 different sizes). $8.00 for a bottle of beer too. So one foot-long hot dog and one beer $14.00!
I usually go to the hot dog guy outside the stadium next to the bowling alley. $1.00 for a hotdog and $1.25 for a sausage. He's there during the regular season but gets shut down during the playoffs since George thinks he's stealing his money.
id like to meet everyone here too. just a matter of having time off of work for all of us and the distance inbetween. although i do have off from July 28th to august 1st. and i have nothing to do yet. i took off to go on vacation and never really planned a vacation. now im just off for a few days. maybe ill fly somewhere new and get a hotel room for a few days.
There is always Vegas :browani: I'm off to Canada this weekend, but the question is... How much to make phone calls? Guess I should start weening myself now. So do you eat them outside the stadium or do you smuggle them in?
I just eat them outside. I'm pretty sure that you can bring food in since I see people bringing in McD's and Subway. Vegas sounds cool. Was thinking about heading there late this year, prices are dirt cheap. NW vacations had a 5 day/4night with air, hotel, and transfers for $483.00
Boy did this thread go off on a tangent... Can we get back on track to what this thread was originally about? I like knowing who knows who from WA meets. Thanks...
Kranium, try priceline or hotwire for a last minute trip. Something might come up that's cheap. I too, say Vegas.
Definitely avoid the cheaper places, blah, stay somewhere decent lol. Avoid the Mandalay Bay though, jesus, a rude and akwardly designed place. We prefer the Monte Carlo or Flamingo--cheap and nice. Of course we loved the Mirage, but it was kinda pricey. MC or Flamingo seem to have the best deals--and aren't crappy. Aladdin was great too, but it's more expensive nowadays. Feel free to PM me, as I've been there several times lol.
I'm up for it. Remember the scene in Kingpin when Randy Quaid gets the giant tattoo of the woman on his back. I was dying on that one. I too prefer the middle or lower tier hotels like the Stratosphere or Riviera. A hotel room is a hotel room... not like you're going to be in there all day.
