What do you consider Central MN?

If you're in Willmar, MWW, now Alltel would be the company to sign with. Verizon has a PCS network in some areas. RCC is North of that location.

I'm in Brainerd. We have Nextel, T-Mobile, Cellular One, Unicel and Northern PCS up here. We are dealers for T-Mobile and NEXTEL.

What do you guys know about Verizon buying up parts of Unicel/Cellular 2000?

My brother's in Eagle Bend near Alexandria and he uses Sprint...which he states works very well. My Dad lives with my brother and uses Cellular 1-GSM. My brother states that his Sprint works better than my Dad's Cellular 1. I went there to visit in March and am on Verizon...but I was on the PCS band...probably Sprint. Cellular 2000 was there...as Gopher stated above, now Verizon? My brother has heard rumors of Verizon coming his way...maybe so?

No, VZW is expanding through their PCS licenses in the state, mostly acquired from Qwest. They have not bought any of RCC.

    Hi all
Just a note I'm with Unicel. Couple of things, the rumor of Unicel selling out part of its coverage is false. Secondly we have just went into agreement to purchase 28 counties from Alltel in southern Minnesota. If you want excellant coverage in Minnesota you shoudl consider Unicel.

Actually Verizon has already bought part of Unicel's coverage. I'm not sure how big, but the Little Falls Market is part of it. That is just South of me.
