Ok, I have the alltel silver V3m phone, and the Motorola H700 bluetooth headset. I picked it up last night and let it charge for about 15 minutes, i love everything about this thing except the static noice. It paired great with the phone, and at times there was no static, then comes the little static just to anoy you. Even with me sitting at my desk and the phone sitting at chest level i get these stattic spells. And its nothing major like if it where across the house or nothing, but there still static. I have the h700 on the left ear and the phone in the right pocket and i get mild static, and if i put it in the left pocket i get a little less static. So majority of the time unless i hold the phone next to the earpiece i get static. I have version "B" i picked it up from staples. I think its the phone i dont think its the headset. Its odd b/c the 15 min charge last night sounded better then after a full charge this morning. But yea i think it may be the phone, and does anyone know what all could cause static between a bt connection? I'm going to test this thing out some more this weekend and see if anything changes, maybe its just a number of things. And when i push the call button on the h700 it just beeps, doesnt ask me for a comand. But if i flip the boom off, then flip the boom on and quickly slam it to my ear and push the button, 45% of the time it actually asks me for a comand, if i do it quick enough. I dont know guys Thanks
I have the exact same setup. I use the h700 (not sure whihc model...where does yours say "B"?) on my left ear, and 1/2 the time the phone is in my right jacket pocket, and the other 1/2 the time, it is in my left pant pocket. To be honest, at first, I had a noticeable amount of static questioning my purchase. But somehow, it has gotten so good, to the point where it is rare when I do hear static. I would say keep trying it out...not sure it actually gets broken in, but I am muuuch happier with it now after a few months than I was initially. As for your voice dialing problem, are you sure you have voice dialing set to ON in your phone settings? Mine works perfectly from day one, it pairs, then I tap it once and it initiates voice dialing, and usually gets the name correct right off the bat. If u want to redial the last dialied call, just hold the button down for 3 seconds or so. But overall, I love it. The only gripe I have is, if I dont hear the phone ring b/c the radio is on, I definitely dont hear the beeps in the earpiece, so I wish that was a little louder. As for increasing the bluetooth signal strength, I believe all signal strengths have been knocked down some by the FCC so that it doesnt interfere with other sets, or other drivers near you...similar to what Sirius radio transmitters have had done.
The only problems I have had with my headset are due to my own errors. 1. Disconnecting BT inadvertently. 2. Although you don't have to voice train the voice commands you do have to pronounce the name reasonably close to how the contact list pronounces it. For example my Sister's name is Elizabeth with a nickname of "Ebbi" pronounced "E Bee"...the voice dial pronounces it as "Ebb E". It doesn't recognize my command unless I remember to pronounce it as it wants to hear it. 3. I have no static problems until and unless I forget where I have the phone (leave it on the desk and wander away beyond any reasonable range) or forget how long it has been since I have charged either the phone or the headset.
I love this thing... yea i have noticed throughout the day that depending on how i'm standing and where the phone is, depends on the reception. But i have to have my left leg that has the phone in the pocket leaning a certain way to get clear reception lol kinda funny i'm going to hold on to this thing and give it a chance
I have a Razr v3m and an H700 Bluetooth Vers "B". It has a little static, bluetooth is not perfect. It is much better than the H700 vers "A" that I exchanged for the "B".
I have the Verizon V3m and have the exact same problems.... I can't figure out why, I actually came in here today to post a question about it Now I first bought the Motorola 850 and had the off and on static problems, I thought it was the BT , so I went and bought the Blue Ant and same thing. So I have no clue . No matter where I move my phone, sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't........ :loony:
Yea nines version "B" i heard about "A" I like mine a lot, the static can be handled by moving a vertain position lol
