I go to school in philly, and in the summer live in Allentown, PA. I had worldcom wireless, and had lots of problems, and now need something new. I have heard cingular is good, but no one on this site seems to like it. i have heard voice stream isnt that great, but alot of people on this bored seem to like it. what company should i go with to get the best service?
Can't tell you which to chose, but I can you how to eliminate one potential candidate-- Before I tell you though, if you don't already know--WorldCom does not own its own network. They are merely a reseller of various other carriers (ATT, Cingular, Verizon, yada yada yada). So if you never found out whose network you were really using on WorldCom, ask them. Then you'll know which carrier not to choose.
Anonymous all I can say is you should try all the carriers that you want to. I am currently a Verizon customer and I am in the process of doing this. All the major companies have trial periods. Verizon's is 15 days. Cingular's is 14 days or 30 mins whichever comes first. At&t's is 30 days etc. Test them out and see which one will work where you need it most. I have found that no 1 service is best for anyone, and what may be that someone elses horror may be your best choice. You will always be better off coming to your own conclusion and if you find Cingular works best for you then so be it.
