which startac 7000 series for verizon CT?

Hi. Just a newbie question. I just found this site doing a Google search. I want to get a used Startac digital phone to replace a very old Panasonic car phone. I see that the 7000 series are digital but are they all compatible with Verizon in CT? If not, which ones are (7760, 7762, 7768, 7790)? What about Sprint PCS phones?

The only StarTacs that Verizon is STILL offering are the 7860 and 7868. Many are available on eBay and other online sources.

I believe the ones you mentioned are all TDMA or dual-mode only. They are probably NOT usable on Verizon.

Sprint phones are usually not allowed on Verizon. See the many posts on WA which discuss the problems of using an 'alien' phone on some other providers network.

Not sure where you are, in my Verizon market, StarTacs are practically being given away... Less than $50 with contract.
