I am confused with which phone to get. Which of the following phones would you choose and why?

    MOTORAZR V3a
    LG AX8600
    or LG AX565

The V3a is a severely neutererd version of the RAZR. Personally, I would stay away from it. The AX8600 is a nice phone, as is the AX565. Really, what it comes down to, is what do you want to do with your phone?

How about looking at the Scoop? That's seriously a nice phone.

Unless you have really bad problems with reception where you work or live or visit, you don't need a RAZR honestly. I think it comes down to which high end LG you can afford. IMO the Scoop is the best LG right now because of the full keyboard.

I still can't understand the lack of EVDO in the Scoop. If that's not a big deal to Cathhsmom, then the Scoop would be a good choice. Recommending a phone would be easier if we knew what type of usage Cathhsmom is looking for.

I will be using the phone to only make calls. I am not a text person. I know, I sound very boring. :)

There's nothing wrong with that. So, between the three phones you listed, and considering you are just making calls and not using any extra features, I would say the V3a.

If you are considering other phones, check out the Samsung Hue as well.

    .
I really like the Moto clamshell phones.

    Razr's are great & Krzr's too.

I especially like the new Moto W series (narrower & thicker) like the W385 or W490.

    Best.
