Well, they are both pretty close. The 8600 is more music friendly. It also gets good reception. Not as good as an KRZR, but close. The 8600 in my opinion has a better quality feel to it. I wish I had more experience with the samsung before I could honestly declare one the best of the two.....The RAZR 2 is coming out in mid September I believe, but it will be something like 249.99 with a 2 year contract like all the other carriers, so I don't know if you want to pay that much. It will end up being better then the sammy and the lg, baring any major unknown factory/software defects.
I am not a big fan of the Razr. I like a phone where the number keys are raised up slightly. When I hold the LG AX8600 and the Hue the LG feels heavier and more solid. I have not made a call from either phone so I can't say how they work.
