I am liking the Fusion, but I don't think it is because of the extra blades. When ever Gillette puts out a new razor the blades are great, very sharp. But as time goes on the sharpness of the blades goes down the toilet. If Gillette didn't mess with the blades I would still be using the original Sensor.
You know what it is and as strange as it sounds, your beard gets used to the extra blades. I used to use the regular 2 blade sensor and now if I try and go back to it, it will not cut my beard but it certainly will cut my head and face with out any problem.
No, that dose make sence. But that isn't my problem, as I never go back to using one of my old razors. It is that the quality of new cartridges/blades goes down over time. When I first start using a new razor, I can use one cartridge for almost three weeks. But as time goes on it turns into a week. My mom has noticed the same thing too, so i know it's no just me.
I think your right about this & maybe it's a way for Gillette to get people interested in a newer shaving system, just before it comes out. It's there little marketing ploy. I have found that the shave from a Gillette was always better then Shick, at least for me.
I agree with that reasoning. But I don't know how much I'm going to like purchasing the Fusion blades, as they are pricey compared to others. I too prefer Gillette over Shick.
I agree the prices are very high compared to the Mach 3's That is 1 reason I haven't gone that route until I get the fusion as a gift or can't get the Mach 3's any longer.
Your right, that is what I don't like. A 4 pack of blades costs about $9 and I am lucky if I get more than 4 shaves per blade.
