So now I am trying to figure out which current flip phone has the best RF with Verizon. I have grown to attatched to the flip form factor so I unfortunately dont want to get the Nokia 3589i. So out of all the current flip phones verizon offers, which has the best RF?
From what I know, none of them really stand out. In reality, RF on 99% of phones is not practically any different. But besides the Nokia and new blackberry I have not heard anyone rave about their RF.
Wirelessly posted (Samsung i600: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows CE; Smartphone; 176x220)) the samsung a650&70 are getting good reviews
yaeh i have seen that, though I feel like whenever a phone first comes out people always say it has good reception and then a few weeks later when the dust settles and the coolness-factor wears off we get to see if it realy does have good reception.
yes, the 6k has been one of the few phones that's still doing great, i also still have my Audi 9500 which works awesome in fringe reception areas...
yeah I remember everyone used to go on and on about the 9500's reception. originally posted by WirelessBeachBum: Well I hope that the 670 really does get good reception because it turns out i am getting it this weekend. (though the reception CANT be any worse than the 4500s)
If you do not want the Nokia, I think that I would agree with Tony; the 6k has had many favorable comments written about it.
You serious about the 9500? I never noticed anything exceptional about its signal...hah I still use it though. Searching through all the vzw flips for a replacement, still have no clue.
well it must be doing something for you if after all the phones Verizon has released since the 9500 you're still using it....
i've tried just about every phone VERIZON has released and so far the 9500 does a great job with RF if not better than some of the current phones...
Bingo. People raved about the LG 4400, which is now considered to be merely average with RF. The Audiovox 8900 worked in places where no other Verizon phone (except the 3589i) would. It's a great phone, with some little annoyances, and it is rather rare on Verizon (compared to the LG 6k). And yes, the 9500 is a good choice, though not as good as the nokia (my friend has a 9500).
True, it has served me relatively well but the size is a bit much. 3 days later I still can't choose between the a530s, a650, or lgvx 4600...
My 8900 has outperformed my friends/relatives vx6000 in some places. Were I work some people are amazed that I can get a call through to my phone. I am deep into the 5th floor of the Ernst & Young building at Times Square.
