I started a Verizon Yahoo Group!

Which provider has the best clarity and reception for San Francisco, and Seattle, WA?

Also, which phone would have the best possible voice clarity and reception for the aforementioned provider?

    Thanks

I think you will have great luck in both places with either Sprint PCS or Verizon. They both offer excellent coverage and call quality. I have used both carriers exensively throughout the Puget Sound area and the San Francisco Bay area.

In my opinion, no GSM carriers work well here in the Seattle area (especially ATTWS), and ATTWS TDMA isn't very good here, either. Please note this respectfully contradicts BillRadio's opinion that ATTWS TDMA coverage is the best in this area. Also avoid Nextel in the Seattle area; they cover downtown and business areas well, but have very poor suburban coverage.

    Thanks TProphet for the reply.

I think I will probably get Verizon, since I am probably going to visit San Francisco, and Seattle next summer.

    Thanks

With regard to JD Power, does anyone know if they are referring to GSM or TDMA, when they evaluate AT&T Wireless?

I live in Cali and travel to Seattle a few times a year. Verizon works great for me. I would stay away from ATT GSM for a while until they get the systems overlayed and move capacity over. T-Mob is not bad either. ATT TDMA works better then GSM in those areas.
