Does anyone know where i can buy an unlocked Nokia 3590 for use on an ATT Network? They told me i can't purchase it from them for the plan that i want but if I get it from another location, I can have it activated.

I don't understand. Why can't you buy it with the plan that you are getting/got ?

The Nokia 3590 is a GSM/GPRS phone, so unless you plan to use AT&T's GSM service, you can't use that phone.

If you do plan to use their GSM service, I have no idea where online would sell it.

So I can only get the phone on a GSM service plan even if its unlocked? If so I guess I'll wait for the 3585.

I am not sure if you know this but the 3585 is not GSM. It is CDMA and may be available through Verizon or Alltel by the end of this year.

Okae! Just to clear up further confusion:

    - no matter if it is unlocked or not, to use a phone it must operate on the same service as your plan.
example, if your plan is a TDMA plan w/ attws and you want to use the Nokia 6590 that is GSM, how can you? You are using TDMA service and not GSM
