What defines "original"? Jay and I completed 12 years in December within a day of each other. We are oldies as well.

12 years as of Jan 29th for me (joined in 2003). I just a kid compared to the rest of you geriatrics.

I cannot remember when I started here. I know this board's software has changed at least three times. I got my first mobile in 1995 and it was shortly after that when I found this site and started having lively discussions with Larry, the Sprint advocate. Ah, those were the days.

JFB: Do you have any clue what my history is here? I'd actually like to walk down memory lane. When was first post? When did you invite me to be a moderator? When did I drop from being a mod? I also remember that at one time there were a series of articles I had written that you were going to use. Oh the memories. My head hurts.

 

Your official start date shows as October 2, 2001. It will be interesting to get the rest of the history.



Larry, is still the same dedicated Sprint person.

I still lurk around here. For me school takes up a lot of time these days. Going after an AA and a BS is tiring.

Just traveling for fun... The Bahamas, US Virgin Islands, Grand Turk, San Juan Puerto Rico....

 

Sweet... never been to the Caribbean.

 

I've been on 3 trips to the caribbean. Its beautiful. Where else can I take wonderful pictures like this?

 

Being on the West Coast, I've been to Hawaii multiple times but never to the Caribbean. Some day!

 

Back when I first joined there was no Roaming Zone, so we basically turned the Motorola forums into the RZ. Good times...

I remember I was super into trying to mod a V600 I had gotten from somewhere to look like a v620 (ie, all black) but then I just ended up finding a European site and buying a black v620. I still have that phone somewhere, I think. Gotta look through some boxes.

Then the RAZR was released and I started taking those things apart.

@KevinJames , I dug out an old screenshot of the first WA forums.
You were around back then to help get us started. Unfortunately, the content from then is lost and all join dates are from the subsequent forum software package.

 

My 12th WA birthday will be this July. I was a lurker on WA for the longest time. So my official join date was 2003 but I started visiting the forum around late 2002.

Hey kranium007 and MOTOhooligan. Long time no see. Don't be strangers.

And like budney said school keeps me busy too. I decided to go back to school to get a second B.S. in Computer Information Systems. I will be graduating this May with that.

 

Wow, this is like a high school reunion. Lots of the old names (myself included) popping out of the woodwork.

@JFB So when did your site get started? Wasn't it around 1997?

 

I'm finishing my breakfast cereal so that I may uncover my decoder ring- to decipher all the new, changed names to three letter styles.

I can only come up with VF. :-(

Or maybe TLA. ( aka three letter acronym ).
