I signed up for AT&Ts new GSM plan and got the Nokia 8390 when it was available free after rebate. A friend of mine is looking to sign up with AT&T and I noticed that the 8390 is gone from all of the pages listing phones. Why did they stop listing it? Any ideas??

It could be that thier stock is running low. I'm sure if your friend calls any AT&T retail store, they should still have it in stock... unless they suddenly stopped carrying it which is unlikely

The Nokia 6590i is VERY similar to the 8390. It has newer software, WAP 2.1 browser AND an FM radio! I have been using the 6590i for a couple of months now... Very good basic phone.

Does that mean that AT&T discontinued listing it, or Nokia has discontinued production? And also, any idea why, since it is a pretty new phone model?
