I seem to be losing 3G on and off since yesterday. The signal level is also fluctuating wildly.

    Anyone else experiencing problems?

    Thanks :)

    3G's doing fine in L.A.

No problems here (for me anyway). :)

    Thanks Mike :)

Within an hour after I made the post my 3G came back. Murphy's law I guess.

I should have made that post yesterday :D

AT&T 3G is working fine down here in Florida. :) We still have not received an H on any of our phones yet.

AT&T is driving me crazy. Today all my incoming calls started going to VM & I had to take my SIM out to reset it.

Then from time to time it will say "data not available". Whatever they are doing to the system, I hope they will be completed soon!

You're definitely not alone with this problem, Charlyee. Apparently it's a Midwest thing, according to Engadget:

Thanks very much Mike. I was trying to decide between "yelling" at AT&T or Palm, and was pretty sure the culprit was AT&T.

I lost my "H" again & am on "E". Thank goodness for WiFi or it would have too painfully slow. :)

You are lucky Charlyee. ;) When we are down on our tours we do not have the opportunity for WiFi and 3G is lost about 30 minutes or 27 miles from our morning and early afternoon tour locations. So for about 6 hours every day that we have tours I am stuck on the slow EDGE speeds. Or in the case of our late morning and early afternoon destinations my phone will switch back and forth between No Signal/EDGE/GPRS. On our full-day adventure, I am stuck on mostly EDGE for an additional 2 hours and 30 minutes.

I know where it went... It went to my parent's house. I just stopped by there today and I noticed my parents now (finally) have 3G service!

As it turns out, this was the result of a pretty widespread outage affecting MI, IN, IL, WI, and more.

It has been back to normal since around 9:00 pm last night. :)

LOL, thanks RR, so that's were it went :D

Yesterday it affected both voice & data and there are still reports of some outages today.

BTW: I see the kids are now reading their favorite book to you. ;)

Glad to hear that it is back to normal for you Charlyee. In my area, AT&T's 3G network will sporadically switch to EDGE in different places around town during different days and times of the week for no reason. This usually only happens for about 5 minutes or so before switching back to 3G.
