I just downloaded G-MoN and it's a great tool. However, it complains that no cell tower information is found because a proper CLF file is needed. I looked it up and a CLF file is a text file that contains data. Do I have to write my own, or are there already existing files out there somewhere? I'm specifically looking for one that covers China, though worldwide coverage would be nice too.
Did you read the instructions in the app notes? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.carknue.gmon2&hl=en
Yes, it says "To import a V3.0 (decimal cell data and coordinates without characters) CLF file, remove all comment lines, rename it to import.clf and copy it to /sdcard/gmon/ then start import CLF from menu." Nowhere does it say WHERE TO GET this file. The instructions simply assume you have one already.
The impression I got from reading it, I could be wrong, is that as you drive around, the file becomes auto-populated.
Hello dear, here you can find good explanation, and in the end (comments) you can find some samples for all clf formats. I was not able to share URL, but do a search on GMON telecomhall
