I'm an existing ATT user in the NY/NJ area... but I need a new phone and their existing phones suck. I like the service, but I want to get GSM/GPRS. I know they've introduced this service in places like Florida, but does anyone know when they'll introduce it in the NY/NJ area??

Id' like to get the T68

Dates, no. However, ATT published a news release stating that GSM will be deployed in most of it major markets by EOY 2002. Whether or not New York is considered a major market is something I don't know.

Don't expect ATT GSM here till mid 2003. Voicstream is the only GSM currently...and Cingular will be launching somewhere between now and next month.
