I have country fried steak for dinner at Perkins. It was good. :yumyum: Oh and a piece of strawberry pie...mmm.
I had a great southern favorite KFC Chicken. lol... w/ mashed potatoes of course, slaw, and green beans... and yea i had some strawberry pie too!! lol
We had pollo alla pebronata -- grilled chicken tossed in a sauce made out of eggplants, onions, garlic, green/yellow/orange/red bell peppers, tomatoes, basil, oregano and vinegar. We had some goat cheese too so I tossed that in the middle of the bowls to melt. I made tiramisu alla salentina for dessert -- picture tiramisu but instead of just the cookies, you put peaches too.
Hey! I haven't ate at a Perkins since the last time I was in Florida....I ate at the one in Ft. Myers.....Perkins are pretty good. We had Perkins up here when I was young....but they pulled out a LONG time ago....not sure why.
Oh...BTW last night, I had roasted pork loin (couldn't eat the stuffing), baked potato, salad (couldn't have the cream of mushroom soup that it the BEST anywhere ) and cheese cake for dessert....minus the tasty graham cracker crust It sucks....I can't eat anything
Sounds like he's on a low-carb diet. My wife and I are on the South Beach Diet, it's great once you get past the first two weeks (and don't eat that "Ricotta Crème" bull in the book, just buy some sugar-free Jell-O cups instead).
Oh. I forgot about that. A low carb. diet is hard to do since there are a lot of things that have carbs in them.
Balsamic vinegarette glazed chicken sauteed with garlic and spinach leaves from our garden. Stroganoff noodle dish, and fresh steamed snap peas from our garden. For dessert chocolate graham crackers... We were out of ice cream... Tonight... Turkey keleobasa (not spelt right) sausage sauteed with potatoes and italian seasoning. Fresh salad with all the goodies from the garden and yummy light raspberry vinagerette. I'm also going to make a special salad called a Creamy Parmesan pasta salad with chunks of mozzerella cheese in it. For dessert ...ice cream. Either low and fit Cookies and cream or Tillamook Fresh Mountain Huckleberry. YUMMY.. My husband will be so happy :browani:
There's a perkins in jacksboro, but ive never eaten there before but i went in and left because it was kinda gross looking lol [ not the food bc i didn't see any of that, but the waiters, and the building its self.. and then the restrooms were horrible] but anyway.. We're havin' tacos tonight... lol
That sucks. It sounds like that Perkins wasn't managed right. Our Perkins is very clean and new (it is about 2 or so years old ).
Wendys sounds good right now but there would be no way for me to go there tonight I am at work so I will have to settle for hospital food. Blah
hmm maybe our perkins will get a new manager so i can eat there.. lol It sounds like we have a few sophisticated eaters in here.. w/ the italian ( i think thats what it was bc i saw pollo which is either spanish or italian )... lol and then quiche, and things like that... maybe u guys should put some recipes up in the cookbook thread in the welcome forum And yea, the tacos were very good ... tomorrow night i think we're going to eat at Sullivan's Downtown in Maryville.. LOVE that place.. if any Knoxvillian's are readin this... u probably know where its at..
Tonight, I had a burrito with steak, black beans, rice, guacamole, salsa, sour cream, lettuce, and cheese. Something quick and easy since I had to pack.
