i was wondering if texts to verizon phones through email using the #@vtext.com count as "in" as far texts messages are concerned. thanks for your help
Yes it would count as IN Messaging as long as it is to or from any Verizon Wireless customer within the National Enhanced Services Rate and Coverage area.
Welcome to Wireless Advisor! Any messages sent to your #@vtext.com will NOT count as IN Messages, does not matter from whom the message is. Only messages sent to/from Verizon phones directly count as IN. Have a great day and Welcome to the Forums.
This post contradicts what Verizon has listed in their brochures then. As I read it, it looks like this IS counted as IN messaging to and from any Verizon phone. szeinbej I would advise that you call up Verizons CS dept. and get this clarified so you'll know for sure.
I am not sure which brochure you are looking at, but the ones that I have always looked at specifically state that @vtext never counts as IN, and neither does Instant Messages.
No, texting is only "in" when sent from VZW customers to other VZW on their phones. Vtext.com, IM, and other services DO NOT count as "in" messages.
if vtext counted as in then everyone with internet access would be considered in thus vtext does not count as in.
All my contracts claim "IN" minutes as VZW to VZW voice calls ONLY....not text or email messages are part of the "IN" network...
Yeah but they do if you sign up for unlimited In messaging package such as the $10 pack which gets you an unlimited amount of text/pix/flix to any vzw customer and 500 additional messages.
