i'm either going to either be switching to Nextel or T-Mobile (on sprint right now and I have been having issues with them on data billing and other odds and ends)

How do you all like either (Nextel or T-Mobile) for use in CT - Torrington/Litchfield area along with surrounding areas.

On my testing each service out Nextel seems a tad better; I can save about $15 a month with T-Mobile and a 1 year shorter contract) Plus I like the phones with T-Mobile better... Just not sure about coverage???

Any feedback you guys/gals can provide will be welcome.

You say Nextel coverage seems a tad better- if T-Mobile coverage is not a lot worse than NEXTEL and will be saving you money and getting you the phone you want on a shorter contract, you might wanna go for it. Just make sure that whatever provider you chose will give you reliable enough service in all areas you travel. Also remember, Nextel is now together with Sprint. :)

to be honest the nextel coverage does seem better, have had no dropped calls (have had 6 so far with the t-mobile phone)

I am just trying to see if the lower cost per month and 12 month contract out weights it, plus I really want a Razr phone...

again thanks for your feedback and do any of you have t-mobile in my area?

The Blade is coming out at the end of Nov. or the first of Dec.it's samsungs answer to the razorit will be avaliable from Sprint..Take it from me the razor is not all its made out to be .I had one with another carrier and it was no betterthan some other phones.I can't wait to get mine(blade) .Since it is now Sprint Nextel you can switch between either co without an etf.

I think you answered your question yourself there Johnner. If Nextel works better than T-mobile why not go with them? I'm a firm believer to go with what works best for you regardless of the carrier popular or not. I'd rather go with a company that has less dropped calls than one that does just to save $15 a month. lol Call me crazy but if i dropped that many calls a day i think i'd get a tad bit pissy. lol Not to mention i'd like to be able to use a phone instead of just carry around something that looks nice. hehe Also, you do have an option to sign a 1 year contract with Nextel and not just go with the 2 year. :)

I have to agree with our princess here. If Nextel works better there go with them. I am fortunate that in the areas I frequent Cingular has great coverage, and I get to carry a cool phone too.

well I was at Walmart of all places and saw a deal on a V3 of $84 on Cingular's plan... which I thought I was "banned" from as I had at&t ws and live in a now alltel market but I guess not. The plan is more then I want to pay but I do get a 15% discount due to my employer. And coverage does seem to be best (so far)....

thanks again guys and gals in your help.

i'll check in with an update shortly....
