The main line of our contract runs out in November. We are not renewing. But the rest of our lines run out sometime next year. I know that she will just continue using her phone until she tells them to end her service.

Right now she has a smartphone plan that was grandfathered in from alltel. This plan gives every phone unlimited text messaging. Will that continue once the main line that has the smartphone runs out of contract? Or will we start having to pay? I assume it will continue since she isn't ending her service yet but I just wanted to make sure.

Your plan should stay in force until you end your contract.

Thanks. That's what we thought. I just keep forgetting to ask when I go into the Verizon store.

When your term is complete you become month-to-month unless you do something like get a new handset or sign up for a promotional plan.

I understand that. I was asking what happens to the other lines plans.

Nothing. Everything will stay just as is unless you change things.

You will see an increase in your junk mail, however, as they will regularly send you mailings asking you to renew. I got one offering 2 free months of service. I'm waiting to see if they'll go higher.
