Atari 2600 and it came with Combat. We also had the "basic programming" cartridge where you could use the 2600 as a computer! I remember spending 2 hours entering a program for it to do some lame task, and when you were done there was no way to save your work. When you turned off the machine it was gone. About a year later we bought a Commodore 64 and my first game with that was Omega Race.

First console was the Atari 2600.

First PC was the Commodore 64. After that it was a Samsung 286.

First laptop was an AST 486/25.

The first console was an Atari model, dont know the number, was a hand-me-down from a first cousin. Then the NES in 1987 for Christmas, along with a new TV from Sears. I was 7 years old at that time and had started begging for the NES somewhere around June of that year.

Then came the the Apple IIe that we got when the UPS offices in Chicago cleaned house and bought new computers, my dad was a supervisor for them. This was around 1990. Remember the magazines dedicated to writing your own games in BASIC? I would spend hours writing BASIC code to make a cheesy game that I played for about 5 minutes.

I think I burned up the NES somewhere around 1994 and quit playing games for a while. All my friends had SNES and Nintendo 64 and such, so I just played at their houses. Then in 97' I begged for a PlayStation, and a Playstation I did receive. That was pretty cool, my favorite game was the original Need For Speed, oh yea, and Metal Gear Solid, the best game ever.

In 98' I went to college, had college parties, and spilled college beer in the Playstation! :( Ahhhh, good ol' pawnshops, snagged me another one for about $75 bucks! Played that one until a roomate stepped on it about a year later. Eventually quit playing games until about 2001 when I got my first PS2, and immediately sold it for a profit to a german family on Ebay. Later in 2001 I bought another, and sold it for retail price in early 2002 on Ebay.

Finnally, I've bought my last system for a while, I'm gaming on the slim PS2 which I purchased about 2 months ago. Currently fighting way my across Europe in Medal of Honor: Frontline. Will tackle Metal Gear Solid 3 soon, and recently beat Need for Speed Underground 2.
