My Moto X (Gen 1, AT&T) just updated to Lollipop 5.1 this morning. Has a new look but will have to use for a few days before I am ready to comment on it.

As I said in the above post, I installed the update yesterday. Now the majority of my contact telephone numbers have disappeared. I tried to copy from the SIM but it tells me there are none in SIM. Any ideas?

rjniles: If you are using Google to store your contacts, logon to your email account using a computer. Then switch to viewing Contacts. If all your contacts are there, then for some reason, the phone lost its link to your account. You merely need to reestablish that link and your contacts should show.

Stopped at the local ATT store about my loss of contacts with the 5.1 upgrade. He took about 30 seconds with ATT Phone Book to restore my contacts. I felt pretty stupid.

Here's a quick cheat sheet to determine if you're holding it right or wrong. Pick up an iPhone, take a good look at it and then choose one of the following two reactions that you feel is the closest to yours:
    • Wow, this is a thing of beauty! (You're holding it right)
    • Huh, beauty must be in the eye of the beholder :/ (You're holding it wrong)

@KevinJames, you probably know this already but when there were reception problems on iPhone 4, due to people putting their thumb at a certain junction point on the external antenna, Steve Jobs had said (smilingly) "You are holding it wrong".

It kind of caught on and I use it every so often as well. :)

Let's try and put this thread back on topic please, wouldn't want JFB, the OP to get mad at us.

Maybe QLR can start a new thread on "why I didn't like iOS" :p
