http://www.phonearena.com/news/Veri...amount-of-data-bundled-with-each-tier_id82919 According to PhoneArena, Verizon is raising the prices and level amounts of data for its plans. Along with it will come what could be called "Data Carryover", similar to offerings from AT&T and T-Mobile. Who would have ever though Verizon would add a rollover plan of ANY kind! It's about time.
Well, first and foremost VZW is raising prices. If they had nothing positive to offset that they would risk some serious negative sentiment. As it stands now, some people could get excited.
True. Still, I'm willing to stick with the carrier I've had for more than two decades, despite their prices. I've had no issues. And actually, for the uptick in prices, they've added more data to them, making it a (Verizon) value. Of course Verizon cannot compete with T-Mobile on price. That's OK with me. I'm happy with Verizon or I would have left long ago. I've had all four providers, with Sprint being the worst. When T-Mobile works up in the mountains, then I might consider them, but they don't. T-Mobile does not work in all the places I visit that Verizon does (in SoCal).
Naturally. All I meant was that VZW couldn't just hike the price and not offer anything to offset that. The added data (especially doubling the data at the lower tier) and the rollover are both meant to do just that.
I think this is nothing but a way to raise rates. Here we go again! Even T-Mobile has spent the past year slowly raising rates.
Suck(er) them in, hit them with the bill. I wonder if someday the cost of service will no longer be the bait.
I will say that the carryover data is a great addition. I would expect nothing less from Verizon to raise prices. I'm actually OK with what they charge for data for the GB's included. It is better than it was before.
