When I lived in Elmhurst it was -84 with the wind chill. I think that was 1983. My parents still have the front page of the Chicago Tribune from that day.
I think the record for Phoenix was 122 and I don't know the heat index but I know it was higher than that . It was on my birthday in 2002 when I still lived in Phoenix. Yavapai county is much much better weather-wise (Prescott, Prescott Valley, Dewey, etc.). Stay's in the mid 80's to maybe 105 in the HIGHEST. Plus the winds are always in the 20's so it's nice. Not to mention the 8% humidity, lol.
I plan on it....I was going to soon...but not anymore. Maybe years down...who knows, but I do want to end up there
Cool. Maybe someday down the road if I am still living in Florida, youa and me can do some fishing on the Gulf.
Lol that's why they put one in Prescott Valley and Prescott . And yea good idea moving the thread lol.
Cool I've never salt water fished before so I'm sure I would like it. Is it the same.....like bait with the same earth worms like you do up here in fresh water? I'll take you up on that offer.....now if you can only protect me somehow from those no-see-ums :thumb:
I don't know how bad the sand flies or the ""noseeums" are, but when I went fishing with my dad and uncle in Northern Wisconsin two summers ago, there were flies there that were horrible (they didn't bite, but they drove us crazy when we were fishing). The flies were introduced to Northern Wisconsin to get rid of the web worm problem, but IMHO, they actually added to the problem. To tell you the truth, I have never been fishing on the Gulf of Mexico, even though we have been down here for 10 years... I prefer freshwater fishing, since I am used to that. I like to use leeches, worms, and "fake" bait when I am fishing in freshwater. I have seen fishing shows on saltwater fishing, and it looks pretty hard, expecially if you are trying to catch a Marlin, a 70 lb. Tuna, or a Grouper. Sorry for going off-topic...I hope the "mods" don't get too mad at me.
I don't have a problem waiting, either... not that I really ever go to the CellularONE store at all. I think they should rotate people so that everyone has an equal chance to score new activations and everyone works the accessories register the same number of days (or as many as they can.) I think, on a larger note that the way wireless sales work need to be changed. Comissions, etc. promote lying on the part of sales reps or at least sales reps who do not tell the whole truth. "Yes, you can use your phone anywhere in the United States." What they're not saying is that you can only use your anytime minutes throughout the US, night/weekend/mobile to mobile minutes do not apply and they're not telling customers that you aren't able to get service anywhere because there is not a total blanket of wireless coverage accross the US as the coverage map would make some customers think. Then they call us at customer service angry because they couldn't get signal somewhere or they were charged for overage because they thought they had unlimited night/weekend minutes when they were out of the CellularONE coverage area. I would never make it as a sales rep because I wouldn't have that many activations but I guarantee that the customers I did activate would understand the service, their handset and their price plan inside and out when I was done with them. That's for damn sure... wait, what were we talking about again?
If I renew my contract i'd go with the first person who did it for me back in September of 2003. She explained everything and was really helpful. When we added a phone we went to a closer location, and the stupid representative failed to tell us that the phone was going to be more expensive. I call them to complain. I tell them, "I'm stupid with the phone now and it's more expenisve," and he says, "You're not stuck with it you can just return it." In my mind I said I got the phone because I needed it and not to return it and get another one. Making it harder for their customers
