MobilePrincess, I am wondering why you are using your Cingular Pre-Pay phone to post with instead of your T-mobile phone? That is pretty expensive isn't it, maybe 25c just to log on?

    Just curious thanks :)

Posting with my Blackjack ofcourse ;)

TMobile did away with free WAP a few months ago. I don't use Cingular's WAP to often so $1.75 for 15 minutes of use doesn't seem to bad to me.

    Sounds reasonable to me, too.

For the record, I'm posting with my Nokia 6820 over imaginery T-Mobile free WAP and this post is nothing more than a figment of the readers imagination, no doubt induced by the stress of losing free WAP access :p

    T-mobile had free WAP?

Ofcourse I wouldn't know I had pay per kb data.
Actually isn't Cingular's Pre-Pay 25c/minute, so 15 mins would be $3.75, right? Do they give you a deal on data & only charge you 11.66 c/minute. I am just confused, thanks much :)

Still posting with my Blackjack ;)

Ofcourse I wouldn't know I had pay per kb for data.

Isn't Cingular's pay per use 25c/ minute, so that would be $3.75 for 15 minutes right? Or does Cingular give you a break on data and only charge 11.66 c/minutes? I am still confused obviously, thanks :)

Still posting with my Blackjack ;)

Yes TMobile use to have free WAP in some locations until they recently started shutting that off. Cingular to my knowledge doesn't charge by the minute. It is at a rate of 1c/KB. If they charged me incorrectly for it, I can assure you that I won't be calling up to complain. ;)

I don't use my prepaid Cingular SIM much for data, but that is correct - it is 1 cent/kB, so not too bad for minimal usage. :)

Ah, you have T-mobile To Go, somehow I thought you had TM PostPay because it worked so well in your area and Cingular Pre-Pay to just cover the "holes" , but I see now that both your T-mobile & Cingular are Pre-Pay.

As far as I know the T-mobile Pre-Pay free WAP has not been shut down as per posters in this forum & the "other one". It probably is just unacessable from time to time (based on my CDMA free WAP experience), so don't give up on it yet ;)

Posting with my Blackjack, waiting for oil change on my trusty steed. :)

From my experiences, T-Mobile-To-Go still has free t-zones access, but they do limit what sites you can visit, especially if you are using one their phones.

I have run into an issue accessing t-zones on a few towers, but but for the most part, I am usually able to access t-zones as long as there is a signal. Is it possible that since T-Mobile has allowed roaming on their prepaid plans, that they disabled t-zones access while roaming?

The following was added to remain on-topic within this off-topic thread & meet the requirements of posting with my wireless device: The contents of this post in it's entirety has been posted & edited via my Nokia E70-2. :)

I'm fully aware of what the TMobile Free WAP was because that is what I did have, but don't have anymore. ;)

Decided to burn some data on my 6131 as tomorrow is the billing date.
By the way, there were several different flavors of the free T-Mobile WAP and Blue and were talking about different ones ;)
