If you keep the brightness at 50% or less, are you finding that your battery life is greatly improved or just somewhat? This is what I keep mine set to on my 4S with the auto brightness feature turned on. Keeping it set to this level does give me at least a few extra hours of standby time. I keep my Photon on Auto Brightness. But with the Samsungs I had with SAMOLED screens I would keep them on the lowest setting. It worked for almost all situations, and with a simple swipe left or right on the notification bar I could adjust it if needed.
This was another reason I jailbreak all of my iPhones. I also have the ability as seen in my screenshot, to adjust the brightness level from any screen or application with as simple swipe of the notification bar. IMO, all phones should come with this feature out of the box. Sent from my iPhone 4S using Tapatalk.
I keep mine on auto most of the time... And near dim at home. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk
