Do you want the coolest phone? Do you want the best service (coverage) possible? Do you want the chepest plan (contract) avaliable? Do you want the best service (coverage) and the coolest phone? What is most important to you? other explain
Re: What is most importantant to you Real good idea for a thread. I added a poll with your options and voted.
Re: What is most importantant to you I agree with Charlyee. I just voted and chose "Do you want the best service (coverage) and the coolest phone?" The coverage is my first priority and a "cool" phone is second. A "cool" phone for me means that it has the features I want and performs the best (reception, battery life, etc.).
Re: What is most importantant to you Same here Gamer. Price would come into play for me if their was a big difference ($30+ a month).
Re: What is most importantant to you It's all about the service, the coolest phone is not important to me.
Re: What is most importantant to you I want it all Having a cool phone is pretty important, but if you are on a crappy network it kind of kills it. Kind of like having a Ferrari but only a dirt road to drive it on
Re: What is most importantant to you I agree. I like having a nice phone, but if it does not work where it need it to, its useless.
Re: What is most importantant to you I agree, good idea for a poll -- we can always use new polls. FYI - Adding a poll is near the bottom of the page under "Additional Options' when starting a new thread.
I want the freedom of choosing my own phone (doesn't have to be the coolest) and reasonable service (doesn't have to be best). Therefore I voted other.
Coverage is big to me...but I don't need the biggest coverage area or the fastest data. I need my phone to work at home and at the office since I spend probably 90% of my life in those two places.
I voted coverage + phone. I am with Verizon for the coverage and in the last year or so, I have started to like those fancy smartphones, looking forward to a "4G" phone for Christmas Price is not much of an issue (for now), else I'd be with Straight Talk. I just hate they don't have the hot phones like the contract carriers. I love T-Mobile ($$$$) , but coverage sucks in my apartment (and at work); I refuse to use Sprint for the same reason.
I chose cheapest plan. The reason is... I have T-Mobile with unlimited talk (to U.S.-based numbers), text (to U.S.-based mobiles) and unlimited data (3G); with free domestic and international roaming. I pay $35.00/month.
I was wondering why anyone would say other and who that would be. I should have known it would be you. I chose coverage, although that is not the only thing important to me but it is at the top of my list of requirements.
I guess I'd have to say "Other" as well. Apparently the ease of changing devices with GSM service is more important to me than coverage really is - although coverage would be my next most important criteria. lol. I know I'd probably be happier with Verizon's coverage/data service than I have been with at&t's for quite some time; but I have still been reluctant to change as I do tend to switch between devices fairly frequently. Freedom of device choice/lack of carrier crippling is important to me too, although I've been happy enough with my at&t branded devices - but probably only because at the same time I've always had a non-branded Nokia as my work horse phone.
I voted other because I want a solid phone but don't need the coolest but I am looking for a fair deal (not necessarily the cheapest) and good coverage. I got a great deal on the Evo 4G since the 3D was coming out and also a super deal on extra minutes, unlimited data and discounted service because of my credit union membership. The coverage I have is super but the other company is considered superior--problem is my past customer service experience with them is awful and so I prefer not to do business with them--ultimately, I got most everything I wanted. Except, I would have preferred no contract!
I really want best service (coverage) possible because that's all that matters to me. I haven't changed my phone since 2007. But I think my phone is about to retire now so I'll probably buy new one this year.
LOL, I want it all--cheapest prices, best service, coolest phone. Hence the reason I paying nearly $200/month for two android phones on a 2gig data plan. Good thing: I amazingly DO have HSPA here in the hicks of the Central Valley. I know that because I've traveled to other locations (like recently I was in Yosemite doing some photography and the phone correctly showed that it only had Edge service.) (Dang! I tried to upload a pic from my camera to my Facebook page----it took a long, long time ... think "Rip Van Winkle" sorta speeds. LOL) So yeah, I have cheap service (for 21st century) and great phone (whose battery holds a charge for 3 hours). :googlyeye
For me it comes down to value, so I don't really fit into any of the categories. I came to the conclusion that I could do without Verizon's coverage to get Sprint's better prices. However, I wouldn't go with some ot the prepaid options because I do want decent support and coverage in the places I go most often.
