Hi all, I'm new to cell phones and have been shopping for my first one. I've been wanting to jump on this deal I found at www.cellsimple.com: https://www.inphonic.com/promoVS_3390.asp?zipcode=11375 Basically, for 39.99/month they give you a free Nokia phone (3390 Gold) with the following plan: 500 Whenever Minutes Unlimited Weekend Minutes Free Nationwide Long Distance Free Nationwide Digital Roaming Detailed Billing Conference Calling Voicemail with Message Alert Caller ID, Call Waiting, Call Hold Neighborhood Toll Free Ping Pong — 50 Text Messages What do you experienced folks think? Also what exactly does 'Neighborhood Toll Free' mean?
What do YOU think about Voicestream? Hello poster, Since Wireless Advisor has just recently added the ability to "search" for text, rather than "tell" you, I'll let you discover for yourself what others have said about Voicestream. Type that word into the search field and read the threads that come back. Some love it and some hate it. Look through the emotions for the tangible items of concern.
If you stay areound the tri-state area Voicestream is great. Travel where there is a smaller population and you won't get a signal while other providers will. Neighborhood toll free, is local calls.
So far, so good with VoiceStream and the 3390 for me since early Dec. Coverage is limited in rural Maryland, but good in most of No.Va, DC and suburban MD where I've been traveling.
Get the voicestream deal. But please go directly to voicestream and get the phone. When I was in columbus they had the gold 3360 for $69.99. I checked out that web site and seems like some of the plans they are doing through mci worldcomm. If you see that RUN FAST. Look up previous posts about worldcomm wireless Jack
No, this deal is Voicestream for sure. If you look at the link, it has Voicestream banners and Voicestream terms and conditions. If you go thru Voicestream directly you have to pay $69.99 for the phone.
I'd hafta agree with Jack, buy the phone at the main VoiceStream office or a reputable resellar of there service. It may be more expensive but I'm a little ireary of singing up for cell phone service online especially with a company I am not familiar with.
