I paid $3.74 in Gaffney, SC today at Petro Express / Texaco, I-85 exit 92. $15.00 = 4 gallons Then I went 20 miles north into Shelby, NC, and saw $3.99. It's much more expensive throughout North Carolina vs South Carolina.

Gaffney is still at $3.74, and everywhere else around here is more. Spartanburg is up to $3.79, Greenville at $3.85, Charlotte at $4.00 and Asheville around $4.10.

I paid $3.73 yesterday at HESS on East Main Street (US-29) in Spartanburg, SC Further down the road at Murphy USA, it was $3.71 ($3.68 with gift card). I'd rather have HESS anyway. The highest prices in my immediate area are currently $3.79. Have yet to see any station over $4.00 anywhere.
Actually I don't quite "fill up" from empty. I only get it when/where it's cheap, so I never spend too much on one fill up. My tanks never go under a half tank. I spend about $20 - $25 in each of our 2 cars about 2 times per week. I guess another thing is that we live 10 miles away from any place to actually spend money shopping, like Wal-Mart. (3 miles to the interstate, 7 miles of interstate driving, and back), That alone uses plenty of gas, almost a gallon. I try to go somewhere every weekend as well. I might be going to Lake Murray (Near Columbia, SC) this weekend, about a total of 3 hours roundtrip. So overall, I don't fill up often, I just get it where it's cheap every few days.

Greer is about 25 miles away me, between Greenville & Spartanburg. I'm happy enough to be paying about $3.69 in Spartanburg, Greenville is a bit more on average.
Well I took a trip down to the Columbia earlier today, and drove around and went to Lake Murray. On the way down I paid only $3.66 at Murphy in Spartanburg. Full tank lasted about a round trip. When I got back I filled it up again at the same station for the same price .
You live down the road from my Dad, who is retired and lives in Greenville. I've been there a few times. SW
Right now in Greenville, SC you should be able to get gas for about $3.80, you may get lucky and find $3.75 (good luck), or $3.99 (bad luck)...

It was $3.69 at Conoco (164th & Santa Fe) last night - but when I checked it out that was for 10% ethanol. Their normal regular was $3.86!!! False signage!!! LOL!!! So I went a mile up the road to my "regular" Conoco stop, where it was $3.71. I don't know if I got premium with 20% ethanol or what , but it was $3.92 for 91.
You cannot run more than 10% ethanol in a regular gasoline vehicle without modification. I would say that because it was 91 octane it was 93 with some 87 mixed in. Only 2 grades of gasoline are refined. Regular (87 in most areas) and Premium (93). To get any octane rating in the middle you mix the 2. When I worked for the Gov't whenever I ordered midgrade fuel it was always 1,000 gallons 87, and 200 gallons 93 to make 1,200 gallons 89 octane midgrade.
