$3.82/gallon for 87 octane at Mobil. The cheapeast I saw 87 going for was $3.69/gallon a few days ago (that has probably gone up at that station since then). Regular at most stations is between $3.72 to $3.82 per gallon. Diesel ranges between $4.29/gallon to $4.49/gallon.

$4.05 for Premium at Shell. Only put in $25 worth (just under 1/2 a tank). Thank God I'm not doing a lot of driving right now or I'd really be up a tree...
That is what I said, Mike. I am glad that I graduated from college because I was driving about 200 to 300 miles per week up to school and back plus errands. Since I cut back on driving (since I don't have to drive that long of a distance anymore), I now only get gas every 1.5 to 2 weeks instead of every Friday. Premium by me ranges between $3.85 to $4.02/gallon. It sounds like we almost caught up to you.
Erik, even the driving I do now, I have to plan and decide whether it's worth doing. It's become that unmanageable. I refuse to spend whatever money I make on gas. Being in Southern California only makes it worse because of traffic. It just takes more planning now.
Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98; PalmSource/Palm-D062; Blazer/4.5) 16;320x320) 3.79 .... $25 bucks gets pratically nothing
My dad and I went on a tour today with a couple. We paid $4.39/gallon for Diesel for our Sprinter Bus. Down south in Everglades City, where part of our tour takes place, it was $3.99/gallon for 87 octane, $4.19/gallon for 93 octane, and $4.49/gallon for Diesel. The city and surrounding areas only have 3 gas stations.
I hear you, Mike. I am glad that I don't live in a big city area, since the traffic is bad enough here let alone a "big" city.
$3.76 for 87at WAWA Tonight Earlier in the day paid $3.70 a Gulf in West Point Pa. Blame the morons who devalued the dollar and of course our Congress for not permitting drilling off the Florida and California coasts even 100 miles out and in the barren fields of ANWR in Alaska. Where I could care less about some mythical endangered Abominable snowman.
Woah! Mike, your place already past $4.00.. damn! Our city just hit $4.00 and I'm sure it'll go up few cents in matter of a month.
Holy I just paid $3.34 at HESS on US-29 in Spartanburg, SC a few days ago (5-11-2008). Now that same station is $3.59. It went way up in Gaffney also, next to Interstate 85 exits 90 & 92: $3.65 Up from $3.39 last week. I'm leaving for NJ about 12 hours from now on a Greyhound bus. $99 round trip, can't beat that!
What we really need is energy independence. We have to stick with it though. We already tried this in the 70's and 80's. We were going to make all the oil we needed from coal. We even started building a factory to do it. OPEC dropped the price of oil until gas was under $1.00/gallon. At that point it was far cheaper to buy oil from OPEC than to make it from coal. Once we abandoned the idea of making oil from coal the price started going up again. -Jay
TRUE. And when each of us buy gas (oil) we are funding several terrorist states. So, not drilling here in the USA may kill us. Call your Congress person, thank them, today. Or Tell them you want cheaper gas now or you will not donate a penny or vote for an incumbent. Premium here is over $4.00
Like congress can actually do anything about it... hahaha... that's adorable that you think they care.
The cheapest I've seen today is 3.79. The most expensive was 3.94 out by Dulles airport. Absolutely crazy... I'm really scared to see what this summer will be like...
I just paid 77 dollars for a full tank of regular unleaded 87 octane man these prices are forcing me to downsize from my SUV to a flippin metro or something don't get me wrong I am all for the environment...I just wish I had a choice in the vehicle that I would like to drive without having to take a second mortgage to fill it up. 3.89 per gallon, the price has raised .33 per gal in last 8 days here in idaho
I havent been keeping up on this thread much, but has this site been posted before? USA National Gas Temperature Map Most stations here in Buffalo are at the high 3.80's and low 3.90s, while one station is reported at 4.03 (all for 87) Back home on Long Island, the norm is $4.00 for 87. The high station in the area is $4.09 for 87!!!
Who said they CARE? Most are egotistical, power hungry (insert adjective)! But they do act when it is in their own interest. And could act in our interest. How? The mere act of opening up areas for new drilling sends message to markets that supply will increase at some point so futures are capped. Monetary policy. The act of supporting the dollar would increase the value of the money we use to pay other countries for oil therefore less dollars flow out of our pockets to exporting countries. That means the dollar buys more oil. The coal conversion project ( that Jay mentioned) could be supported, it is a real technology used by the German army in WW 2 for almost all fuel. I could go on. But don't want to be too adorable. What is your adorable answer?Other than to laugh at those who offer solutions?
Seems so, it's still about the same as South Carolina for now. However, been away from NJ so long and I'm not used to full service gas stations. Thats the only difference to me. In NJ you can not pump your own gas!
I guess that is a good thing, at least for employment reasons. But it does slow things down at the busy stations, like on the Garden State, the AC Expressway and the NJ Turnpike, where cars get backed up waiting for one guy to handle 8 pumps.
