Hmm, might wanna step up to 89. Could be more expensive in the long run if you run it below the correct octane
I often mix it. Or add octane booster. The dealer said it was OK but to expect less performance. It realy does like the good stuff.
Yeah the best way to keep your engine working relatively normal if you insist on going below dealer recommended octane is to throw in a higher test every 2 or 3 fill ups. Personally I'm not a fan of octane booster. I ran it a few times in my old S2000 and the engine seemed starved for air on a fresh tank of premium.
The problem with here is things are too spread out to walk, especially when the weather is less than pleasant. And besides I love my jeep too much to give it up.
I hear ya on that. I used to drive my girlfriend's Wrangler a while back and got hooked on the Wrangler wave and taking the doors off in the summer

My parents just bought a brand new RV, and dad & I took it for a drive yesterday. I noticed it was almost out of fuel, so I told dad he should fill the tank. He stopped at $100, which was only 3/4 tank. I told him he'd regret not filling the tank when gas was only $3.30/gal. -Jay

Well unleaded is now over £1 per litre where I live! The cheapest around here is £1.03 per litre, which is approximately $7.66 per gallon. Super Unleaded works out at around $8.03 per gallon.
With our relatively "cheap" gas here if you do spend some time over here you can buy yourself a big old Cadillac Fleetwood or Lincoln Town Car... Something you wouldn't be able to afford to drive in England... I saw on BBC America a few months ago they ran the episode of Top Gear where they came to the US and bought 3 cars for under $1,000 to drive on a road trip. They ended up with a late 80's Cadillac Fleetwood, an early 90's Dodge pickup truck, and a late 80's Chevrolet Camaro RS. That episode was really funny. -Jay
