Good info , I went a bit out of the way to a suburban HESS and paid 2.99.9 Less than before, yet in route I passed 3.19 most were 3.09. It amazes me that the public is just taking it like lambs to slaughter.

Its a shame since there is so much untouched oil right off the Florida coast. I just paid $3.07 this afternoon in Pa. 10 % ethanol in the 5 counties around Philadelphia. That is 10 % we don't import at over $98.00 a barrel.

Ouch, that must hurt filling up that Suburban. I know I complained when I filled my truck up for $2.92 the other day -Jay
Unfortunately Ethanol does not release the same amount of energy when burned as gasoline. Ethanol actually lowers the vehicle mileage, but on the plus side it does a fantastic job of keeping the fuel system clean. -Jay
$2.79 with a Wal-Mart Shopping Card at Murphy USA (Wal-Mart) @ I-85 Exit 92 in Gaffney, SC I also went to Charlotte, NC today and saw it for $3.05 on average ($2.98 - $3.12)
I agree. There is a great debate about ethanol. Corn based ethanol may actually use more energy to produce than it yields as a fuel Also it drives food prices up. That is why cellulose or cane may be a better source. Research is progressing fast in alternatives. Not fast enough though. Still if we can get to 10% nationwide it should slow imports. As of today it looks like we are in for a rough ride because Congress waited too long to free up our own sources and still won't. $4.00 gas is coming! Unless a political epiphany occurs soon.
Wirelessly posted (Sprint Mogul: Opera/8.01 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/3.1.9746/1724; en; U; ssr)) Yes it does hurt filling up. I was down a little less than half last week and it cost $59 to fill up almost 19 gallons. But this is the only car that has room for my legs since my dad's Explorer cramps my legs.
