I think all my favorite shows have already been listed. 24 My Name Is Earl The Office Scrubs Mythbusters The Simpsons
I'm still in mourning, since the end of The West Wing. I don't watch much TV and don't have a favorite show at this point, but I admit to still watching Saturday Night Live - at least up until they do the fake news in each episode - I usually fall asleep after that. My wife, who didn't grow up in this country, thinks The Simpsons is definitely the best show and she'll happily watch new ones or reruns. I appreciate the writing, but it doesn't really move me. Maybe I've gotten old and grumpy but it usually spins out into utter wackiness by about 3/4 through each episode, and by that time I am past caring about what happens. SW
My favorite shows (not in any particular order) are as follows: Family Guy American Dad The Simpsons The War at Home Lost Doctor Who Medium Ghost Whisperer Heroes Supernatural Jericho
Sadly, there aren't really any major network shows I watch anymore. I mostly watch cable series or TV show DVDs. But I do enjoy: That 70s Show South Park Charmed Will & Grace Are You Being Served? (Old Brittish series from the 70s) Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy (Cartoon Network) Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends (Cartoon Network) Family Guy (Reruns or DVD - Can't stand Fox) Just to name a few... Plus other shows on Food Network, Discovery, TLC, National Geographic, etc.
If we're talking British TV don't forget about Keeping Up Appearances. That show just cracks me up. -Jay
Ah yes, Monk is a great show. I am still sad that it went to cable. I don't have cable, or dish, or anything else special. I have my 6 channels. AGH! HOW COULD I FORGET SCRUBS! Doh!
I really like the reruns of Sex in the City and am waiting for the new shows of Rescue Me ok...I'll admit it,...I do fine American Idol quite amusing at times
I've probably seen all of the "Are You Being Served" episodes many times, even the ones where they were running a guest house in the country (those were strange). Ditto with "Keeping Up Appearances", great show and one of my wife's favorites, but only one joke. We also liked "The Vicar of Dibley", although I don't think it's on in my area any more. The characters in this show were all wonderfully acted and the writing was hysterical. And of course, "As Time Goes By" with the incomparable Judi Dench. You have to be slightly ancient to enjoy this one, but I am and I do. SW
I found "Are You Being Served?" in the late 80s on one of our 4 PBS stations here in Los Angeles. I couldn't get over how funny it was considering I've found some British humor to be a little odd. I had VHS tapes of as many episodes as I could record. I now have the 14-disc DVD set of the entire series. I was just watching the show today (when there was NOTHING to watch on cable - a frequent occurence). I still laugh hysterically at many episodes, no matter how many times I've seen them....:lmao:
Yes, Are You Being Served? is cool.Keeping Up Appearances is one of my favorites, and I find As Time Goes By very entertaining despite my young age. I never did like The Vicar of Dibley, but Waiting for God can send you on the floor laughing. -Jay

I forgot about Forever Knight. That was great, but the local channel that carried it here ran it at like 2AM in the morning, and then started changing nights and times, and then I didn't see it anymore, then I found it again on another channel, then they started with the erratic schedule, then I never saw it again. Is it on cable now, and if so what channel? -Jay
It's not on Australian cable anymore, I don't think it's on anywhere in the world at the moment from what I hear because I belong to a FK forum http://knightvision.proboards40.com/index.cgi although all the series are now on DVD.
In no particular order: 24 The Office King of the Hill South Park Mythbusters Family Guy American Idol (sigh)
