What are your favorite music artists/songs?

Andy, I hope you don't mind that I moved your post into its own thread...I figured the topic was good enough to stand on it's own.

I'm not sure I could pick fav. songs. That is too mood specific for me.

Mostly rock and roll. And then hill billy. But i can listen to almost anything.

 

Always a blend of Metal, Rock, Jazz/Fusion, Oldies, & Blues.

 

I mostly listen to classical music. I play piano and I would say that my favorite is Chopin.

I do listen occasionally to some popular music - pretty eclectic here including Lyle Lovett, Neko Case, Springsteen, etc. Basically, good musicianship and songwriting are a must.

Hard to name a favorite. Our CD collection is mostly classic rock (Clapton, Queen, Dire Straits) and singer/songwriter folk (Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Bill Morrisey) but we also have lots of blues and classical, some jazz. During the recent Tower Records going-out-of-business sale, I bought lots of stuff from the 70s and 80s. Who doesn't need the Best Of The Beach Boys, The Clash or The Cars?

I have gotten into Gospel in the past year. Pop, rap, soft rock are also my favs. As far as artists, Yolanda adams, Byron Cage, Mariah, Céline dion, and JayZ are some of my fav artists. My favorite songs include Victory by Yolanda Adams, and Glorious by Martha Munizzi.
