so, I was thinking we could swap some "trade secrets". I use a few 3rd party services with my T-Mobile service.

GrandCentral - I use this as my business telephone line - I like it because I can save voice messages, view them online, and screen callers.

Pinger Messaging - I like this service because it allows me to use my voice (as in an SMS) and send "voice SMSs" back and forth. So when I want to talk but can't converse back and forth; this is good!

Jott Messaging - I really like this service for when I am in the car and need to write something down. Well... I can't write and drive, so I call up Jott and say what I need to remember, and then it comes to my phone as a text message!

SlyDial - This is good if you need to leave someone a voice message, but it's late at night, or you know they are in a meeting. You just put in the recipients number, and say what you want, then SlyDial leaves the message in their voicemail box without the phone ringing.

YouMail - I really like this one! I now use it as my voicemail box because it's so unique. Not only can the person leave a message like normal but, I can listen to the message online. And I get an SMS notification letting me know who called (TRUE CALLER ID! - even landlines), at what time, what city/state the number is from, how long the message is, and what phone carrier they are using. And following that I also get a transribed copy of their voice message in my SMS inbox. And there are TONS of greetings to pick from, and you can even upload your own! And assign different greeting to different callers/groups.

So... those are the services I use, and why I use them. BTW, all these services have no cost associated with their usage.

    How about you?

I use YouMail for my VoiceMail as well. I listen to most of my messages via an MP3 attachment in my e-mail. The ditchmail feature is pretty cool (especially for anonymous callers). :)

For unknown callers I have a message saying that I do not accept privately marked calls - please hang up, remove the privacy, and call again.
