    maybe it goes way deeper than that maybe, because sprint nextel is way in debt and is laying off employees and cutting out stores...and alltel was recently "acquired" by goldman sachs and tps capital out of new york city. also they roam on eachothers nextwork. so maybe alltel (aka goldman sachs and tps capital ) is in talks about buying or "acquiring" sprint nextel this would make alltel truley nation wide in every state also they would become a true cdma powerhouse.



    just a thought.

    Even Sprint were its at is still a huge investment, I dont think the investors would go for it.

    Alltel already is a CDMA powerhouse, they grew fast with all their aquistions over the past few years and they blew up with Western Wireless.

    Pretty soon with all the buyouts US Cellular will be in the top 5.
