Direct connect amplifiers always give the best amplification . I have lots of customers that use a direct connect amplifier and use a blue tooth headset . Leave the phone connected to the amplifier and use bluetooth for the freedom to move around .best of both worlds , works great and costs less than a good wireless system.

I think I want a wireless system, I haven't found a blue tooth that will cover the house very well.....I currently use a Plantronics 510.

Depeding on the square footage of your house a truly good dual band wireless amplifier kit will be $600 and up. Where as a direct connect soultion with a good blue tooth headset will be half of that
