For the past week, I'm having trouble with my headset connecting to my v557 - it just wouldn't connect. I deleted the headset from the phone & tried discovering it again - still didn't work. The phone & headset were both fully charged.

Yesterday, I tried it all again. The phone gave me an error that my BT signal was too weak to make the connection - and dropped the headset connection.

I bought the phone & headset in March. WTH is going on? I'd mentioned before that whenever the headset & phone were distanced for too long (>3 hours) that I had to cycle the power on the phone to find the connection. I just got in the habit of turning the power off on the headset, which worked. Until now.

Should I take them in as defective?
Maybe it's only the headset, as the phone & BT adaptor are fine.

Whenever I have that come up it is because the battery in the headset is dying. Try the headset w/ another phone and I suspect you will still have problems.

    Overall, or per charge?

I get about 2-3 days use out of my Moto HS820's per charge. I once did encounter a unit w/ a defective battery that also gave me this message. I have never worn out a previously working unit. My oldset one I currently have is about 18 months old.

    Thanks, Jay!

I'll check it out. Calling my local store tomorrow.
