We went to get Verizon at our corporate store tonight.

We got two LG Vx 6000's.

We have the Family Share Plan ($59.99 +20 for the additional line)

We share 800 minutes between the phones, with unlimited daytime calling between the two phones, and unlimited night and weekend minutes.

    I LOVE the reception.

We are getting 5 bars around our town, and I am getting 3 bars inside our house.

Tomorrow, we are going to cancel Cingular.[IMG] YAY!

The phone has excellent reception, the best sound I have heard, considering we have a Motorola 120t and Nokia 3360, and the screen is crystal clear.

    The camera is sweet.

All I can say about Verizon is EXCELLENT!!!

Cool! Glad it's working out. Seems that Verizon is great everywhere except in my state. I remember how well Verizon worked in Orlando and Tampa and they are PCS! Verizon is 800 in DE and boo. I tended to get *bad* headaches after talking in Orlando, I thought it was PCS, but I can talk on Sprint fine. Weird huh?

ATT TDMA was starting to get a little unreliable in the city ...and that was...ok. Then they took away the regional plans that alowed for upstae NY roaming. I Got Verizon 5 days later. Been very happy since.

How does the roaming work on the 6000?

The triangle is flashing with a Extended Network message.

    Does that mean I won't be charged 69 cents/minute?

Also, if you use half your minutes on Extended Network, will they cancel your service.

Am I only roaming when the phone says roaming and the triangle is solid, correct?

I meant to say that we get 6 bars (max reception around our town)!

How many times can you exchange your phone within the 15 day trial period?

    Thanks.

    I highly doubt it!

I would think as many times as you needed to get a phone that you liked! Not sure though!

BTW congrats on switching to Verizon, and have fun with those new phones!

their policy is one exchange per trial period. 15 days, though sometimes they bend the rules a bit, like in my case[IMG]

I stand corrected. [IMG] Thanks DJ for clearing that up. Though I guess you could cancel everything within the 15 days and then resign up and get another 15 days?[IMG]

yes maybe, sometimes Verizon will not let you start service again up to six months after cancelling, so you might wanna be careful with that.

even if they let you, u'd be prorated each time and keeping track of how many minuets u have each time would be kind of annoying...
