Well...I talked to CS today and I told them that I wanted to keep my old plan afterall....and not move to the new one the first day of my billing cycle (Oct. 9)

My old plan is the Nation 250/3500 TDMA plan that I've been on since March 2002. When I upgraded to GAIT in Feb 2003, I was allowed to keep the plan then, no problems.

She told me I can stay on it, but it may cause problems. She said I may get charged roaming in certain instances because the plan is not compatible with GSM phones, because the plan is a GAIT plan and was meant for TDMA and GSM use.

Now I think they were telling me that trying to get me off the old plan. For one...it isn't a GAIT plan...this was an old TDMA plan and it worked fine on the GSM side of my GAIT phone....so why would it be different now? :dunno:

That is what I have been told, too. I had an old Nation Plan, but have a T62u now and they added GSM to it. So I do get GAIT coverage without being on a real GAIT plan. I like that I get the high weekend/night minutes with a 29.99 plan.

Apparently, though, you cannot use a GSM phone on an old plan...

I also wonder whether they are trying to push me off an older plan. While the new GSM plans are quite good, in order to get a lot of N/W minutes, I'd have to jump to at least 39.99 plan... Of course, you do then get rollover.

I am still looking into it. Let me know what you find out!

    CS wasn't lying, Management was

I watched two customers accounts for 4 months and they both had no problems

one was a TDMA phone on a GSM plan

one was a GSM phone on a TDMA plan

over 4 months they never had a single roaming proble, of course I don't know if they roamed on other providers or not
